How 7VWWVW works.

1. Rehearse lots and lots but never enough.
2. Get a bit uppity due to pre-gig tension and perceived lack of rehearsal.
3. Rehearse some more.
4. De-rig about 30 precious/precarious electric things.
5. Haphazardly pack the aforementioned items in a wonderful 1982 VW Camper van/several taxis.
6. Drive to venue.
7. Unpack the van/taxis.
8. Carry all the items into a dark, empty, lonely room.
9. Set up 30 items, minus the 3 things we forget without fail.
10. Improvise, beg, borrow or steal missing items from a tolerant soundman.
11. Soundcheck for as long as possible without upsetting the still tolerant soundman.
12. Refreshments.
13. Apprehension/confusion, brought about by consumption of 12 above.
14. Friends.
15. Performance, aided by magic lasers and dashing costumes where appropriate.
16. See 4 and 5 above, with the addition of disco lights, sticky floors and enthusiasts asking where we found a Korg Sigma/why we don’t just use softsynths.
17. Drive back to the Lab.
18. See 7 above.
19. Relax with best buddies, thus remembering why we do this in the first place.
20. Repeat.

Talking of remixes, we’re soon to be featured on a tribute album to the genius (yes GENIUS) that is Moondog on Edinburgh’s SL Records.
